The teaser of Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh, also starring actor Anjali, was released on Monday. Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the action thriller is expected to release this summer though the exact date has not been announced yet.
The teaser has Vijay Sethupathi’s voice-over, faintly reminiscent of Super Deluxe, talking about confronting problems to resolve them. The film has been set in different locations, including Tenkasi and Malaysia, and appears to have several high octane action scenes. Anjali also makes an appearance in the teaser and from the looks of it, she has a substantial role to play.
The background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja accentuates the action scenes in the 1-minute teaser. The film has been produced by SN Rajarajan and Shan Sutharsan under the banner of K Productions.
Vijay Sethupathi’s last release was Petta, where he acted as the antagonist opposite Rajinikanth. The Karthik Subbaraj film was a multi-starrer with several other actors like Simran, Trisha, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Vijay Sethupathi won praise for his role as Jithu. Anjali, meanwhile, was last seen in the critically acclaimed Ram film Peranbu where she played a pivotal role alongside Mammootty.
Vijay Sethupathi’s next release is the highly anticipated Super Deluxe where he plays a trans woman. The trailer of the film was the talk of the town when it was released. This is Aaranya Kaandam director Thiyagaraja Kumararaja’s next. Samantha is also part of the cast.
Linga, Vivek Prasanna and Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya are also part of the cast.
