The makers of Tapsee Pannu’s upcoming flick Game Over released the trailer of the movie on Thursday. A scary and intense thriller, Tapsee is at her best playing the role of a woman suffering from post-traumatic stress. The two-minute long trailer has certain edge-of -the-seat sequences and manages to set a sense of panic with Tapsee alone in the frame.

The first half of the trailer shows Tapsee having an intense fear of dark places, unable to sleep at nights, waking up to doors creaking in the middle of night and living in a palatial house along with a domestic worker. Suffering from a strange syndrome called the anniversary reaction, Tapsee is shown listening in rapt attention to her doctor who describes the gravity of her medical condition.

The second half of the movie follows a different trajectory. We see Tapsee on a wheelchair, with broken arms and legs and struggling to get back on her own feet. The city is on the hunt of a killer after the mysterious and gruesome death of a couple of young women. And this is when Tapsee begins feeling the presence of a third person in the house. The trailer ends with Tapsee being pushed down to the floor and a killer making a move with blood dripping from his knife.

It is unknown to the viewers if there is a mystery killer for real or if it's all in the mind of the protagonist who is suffering from a strange mental disorder.

Recently, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has films such as Dev DBlack Friday and Gangs of Wasseypur to his credit, came on board to present the Hindi dubbed version of Game Over. The film’s director, Ashwin Saravanan, has previously directed Nayanthara’s Maya and also Iravaakaalam starring SJ Suryah and Wamiqa Gabbi. Game Over will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

The film, which will have music by Ron Yohann, will be Taapsee’s first Tamil film in four years after Kanchana 2 and Vai Raja Vai in 2015. The film is all set to hit theatres on June 14.
