From Netflix’s Sacred Games to Amazon Prime’s Family Man, fans have enjoyed watching many movie bigwigs act in web series. Leading actors, including Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kalki Koechlin, Manoj Bajpayee and R Madhavan among many others, are increasingly shifting their focus to web series. After Samantha Akkineni’s debut in the upcoming second season of Family Man, another leading Tollywood actor, Tamannaah Bhatia, is gearing up to play the lead role in her debut web series 11th Hour.

Tamannaah took to Twitter to share the teaser of the web series on Monday. Explaining how the project has been special to her in many ways, the actor wrote, “There are a few characters you play which touch you. #Aratrika is one such role! Happy to share a glimpse into a show close to my heart.”

The web series is directed by popular filmmaker Praveen Sattaru, who is known for his work in Tollywood movies such as PSV Garuda Vega, Guntur Talkies and Chandamama Kathalu, among others. 11th Hour will premiere on Telugu OTT platform Aha from April 9.

Set against a corporate backdrop, Tamannaah plays the role of Aratrika Reddy in 11th Hour, a woman helming a business firm, striving to pave a way for herself in a man’s world. From ferocity to vulnerability, we see different shades of Aratika in the teaser. The one minute and 21 seconds long video ends with a question – will Aratika be able to retain her position in the firm despite friends and family members trying to bring her down?

The makers of 11th Hour had earlier released a poster featuring Tamannaah on December 21 last year, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday.

Tamannaah is also working on a Tamil web series titled November Story, which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. A crime thriller, November Story is directed by Indhra Subramaniam. Tamannaah will also be seen in a number of upcoming movies such as Seetimaarr, F3: Fun and Frustration, and the Telugu remake of the Bollywood film Andhadhun.
