The sneak peek of Prithivraj’s bilingual film Ranam - Detroit Crossing was released on Sunday. The cliffhanger teaser promises loads of action and thrills to the viewers.

The sneak peek shows Prithviraj, waiting in his car with a decisive expression on his face. As soon as he sees a man getting out of his house and driving away, he steps out of the car, picks up his wooden club and walks up to the door of a house. The teaser ends in a dramatic way when Prithviraj kicks open the door.

In Ranam, Prithviraj gets involved with the street gangs and the story revolves around it. Directed by debutant Nirmal Sachdev, Ranam is about an immigrant community and the gang wars in Detroit and Michigan. While Prithviraj plays a gang leader in the movie, veteran actor Rahman will be sharing screen space with him.

It may be recalled here that Prithviraj and Rahman had worked together in Mumbai Police and both of them played cops in the film.

Isha Talwar is also part of the star cast.

Ranam is based on some real-life incidents. The team has shot the film in various locations in the US and it is expected to release in March this year. The film is bankrolled by Anand Payyanur and Biju – Rani Lawson under the banners Yes Cinema Production and Lawson Entertainment.

Prithviraj had four Malayalam film releases last year with Ezra, Tiyaan, Adam Joan and Vimaanam. The actor also featured in the Hindi film Naam Shabana, playing the villain. The Bollywood film had Taapsee Pannu playing the lead role. It may also be mentioned here that Prithviraj is gearing up to make his debut as a director with the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer.
