The single 'Simtaangaran' from Vijay’s Sarkar was launched online on Monday. The song, composed by AR Rahman, was made available an hour ahead on the producer’s streaming app, SunNxt.

This song has been performed by Bamba Bakiya, Vipin Aneja and Aparna Narayanan. The song’s lyrics have been penned by Vivek. What does ‘Simtaangaran’ mean? We might have to wait for the film’s release.

The lyric video also features a few pictures from the song itself that shows an angry Keerthy in addition to pictures of Vijay and Yogi Babu dancing together.

The song has two distinct tunes, one a peppy male portion and a relatively melodious female part. A very upbeat dance number, one can already imagine Vijay’s moves that this song’s video would have. The lyrics sound like gibberish, with very little Tamil words that you can make out.

Actor Radha Ravi, who plays a pivotal role in Sarkar has revealed in an interview last week that Vijay plays a vigilante in the film. This, however, is not the first time Vijay is playing such a role. In the past, Vijay has essayed vigilante-type of roles in films such as Velayudham and Mersal.

The film marks AR Rahman’s reunion with Murugadoss after the Hindi version of Ghajini. Girish Gangadharan, the young lensman whose recent work includes Kali and Solo, is cranking the camera.

National award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad, who has worked with Murugadoss in projects such as Thuppakki and Spyder, is also part of the film.

Following the commercial success of Thuppakki and Kaththi, actor Vijay and filmmaker AR Murugadoss have teamed up for the third time for Sarkar.

Actor Keerthy Suresh has joined hands with Vijay after last year’s Bairavaa. The film also stars Prem Kumar and Yogi Babu. The makers are vying for a Deepavali release this year.
