One set of people who were perhaps taken aback the most when PM Narendra Modi tweeted that he would “drop by” to meet Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif in Lahore was journalists. Clearly blindsided on what would have otherwise been a coverage running into several weeks, journalists on both sides of the border were left with very little time to react. Some of them went overboard.
Watch this Pakistani reporter outraging and saying “tauba tauba” repeatedly, apparently upset at the fact that an entourage of 120 Indian officials landed in Pakistani soil without any official visa formalities. And watch it till the end – the applause in the newsroom makes it special!
