The latest music video out from Jyothika’s Kaatrin Mozhi, two days ahead of the film’s release is ‘Dirty Pondatti’. This song is picturised on Jyothika and Vidarth, who play husband and wife in the movie. Rendered by Benny Dayal and Swagatha S Krishnan, the song’s lyrics have been penned by Madhan Karky while the music is by AH Kaashif.

The ‘Dirty Pondatti’ song captures the romance between a married couple and has been shot entirely inside the house.

Previously, Jyothika’s version of the popular Malayalam number ‘Jimikki Kammal’ was released. It was reported that the makers had bought the song rights to use it in the film. In the Hindi original, Vidya Balan danced to Sreedevi’s ‘Hawa Hawaii’ from the film Mr India.

The Tamil remake of the Bollywood flick Tumhari Sulu, Kaatrin Mozhi stars Jyothika in the lead with Vidharth, Lakshmi Manchu, Kumaravel, MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Mohan Raman, Uma Padmanabhan, Sindhu Shekaran, Seema Taneja and Master Tejas playing important roles.

Produced by G Dhananjayan, S Vikram Kumar, Lalitha Dhananjayan of BOFTA Mediaworks India, the film’s cinematography has been done by Mahesh Muthuswami with Praveen KL editing it.

On Wednesday, actor Vidya Balan posted a heart-warming video wishing the Kaatrin Mozhi team all success. In a 38-second clip, she said she’s very eager and excited to watch the film.

“I was very happy and proud to know that Jyothika will be reprising my Tumhari Sulu role in Tamil. All the very best to Jyothika, Radha Mohan sir, Dhananjayan sir and everyone associated with Kaatrin Mozhi from all of us in the Tumhari Sulu team. I’m very eager and excited to watch the film, I’m sure all of us are. All the very best!” she said in the video, speaking in a mixture of Tamil and English.

The film has received a ‘U’ certification and will release alongside Uththravu Maharaja and Chithiram Pesuthadi 2.
