The trailer of the much awaited Mohanlal starrer Ittymaani Made in China was released on Wednesday. The 1 minute 52 second video promises viewers a fun ride with Mohanlal and the rest of the cast. The trailer, which focuses on Ittymaani , played by Mohanlal, also has a few funny scenes with KPAC Lalitha, who plays Mohanlal’s ammachi, Siddique, who is playing a priest and Honey Rose, who is at her glamorous best.

A good part of the film, which is touted to be a comic caper, was shot in China. The film’s cast and crew only just finished wrapping up its final schedule in July 2019.

Directed by Jibi and Joju, the film is bankrolled by producer Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.

Several scenes from the trailer and previous teasers showed Mohanlal in the traditional Margam Kali costume with 512 other dancers. The title poster of the film was unveiled some time ago and it featured a laughing Buddha, indicating that it will be a comic caper.

Speaking about the film, one of its directors, Joju, had said in an interview earlier, “It’s a total fun movie that would remind the audience of Lalettan’s yesteryear superhits such as Vellanakalude Naadu, Chithram and Kilukkam.” The film will see Mohanlal conversing quite a bit in Mandarin, especially with KPAC. Several scenes from the trailer and teasers show the duo engaging in arguments in the language, adding to the comic element in the film.

The film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar who last starred opposite Mohanlal in the 1985 film Koodum Thedi. Mohanlal also has the film Big Brother directed by Siddique in his kitty. The film has Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan along with Anoop Menon, Sarjano Khalid, Satna Titus and others in the cast. While Mohanlal, Anoop Menon and Sarjano Khalid play brothers in this flick, Arbaaz will be seen as a police officer.

Ittymaani will hit the big screens on September 5.
