The teaser of actor Kichcha Sudeepa’s upcoming film Pailwaan was released on January 15, just in time for Sankaranti, from the actor’s official Twitter handle.

“Tnx for being in my life n thank u for being there for me. Wil do my best to keep ur faith in me intact.(sic)” he wrote, sharing the link to the teaser.

The film’s first look poster was released in November last year and received very good response from fans.

The teaser begins with the narration about the mythological characters Krishna and Kamsa. “Krishna and Kamsa were both wrestlers. While Kamsa fought for Adharma, Krishna fought for dharma,” goes the voice-over when Sudeep, as Baadshah, makes his first appearance in the teaser.

The clip then proceeds to a wrestling arena where Sudeep flexes his muscles and flips over his opponent while the crowd goes wild. The film has been scheduled for a summer release this year.

Sudeep apparently did a lot of hard work to get his look right for this film. The star flew down to Thailand where he underwent rigorous training under the guidance of experts to prepare for Pailwaan.

Noted stunt choreographer Ravi Varma has choreographed the stunt sequences. It was earlier reported that Hollywood stunt director Larnell Stovall has been roped in to choreograph the boxing sequences.

Though it is Stovall’s first time in the Kannada film industry, he is a well-known name in Indian cinema having worked in films such as Salman Khan’s Sultan, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali and Akshay Kumar’s Brothers.

Actor Salman Khan applauded Sudeep's efforts and tweeted the teaser.

Produced by RRR Motion Pictures, the film has been directed by Krishna and stars Suniel Shetty, Aakanksha Singh, Sushant Singh, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Sharath Lohitashva.

The film’s music has been composed by Arjun Janya while Karunakar A has taken care of the cinematography.

Director Krishna had wielded the megaphone for Sudeep’s Hebbuli, which released last year and was a hit, and is teaming up with the star for the second time.

According to reports, the makers are planning to release the film in 8 languages.
