The official trailer of Underworld directed by Arun Kumar Aravind was released on Saturday. It was already announced that the film will release on November 1 to coincide with Kerala Piravi Day.

The film is touted to be a thriller and the trailer hints at the same. The trailer of the film, which stars Asif Ali in the lead, begins with a tone of mystery. Asif Ali appears to be playing a character with negative shades. “You are a complete fraud, isn’t it?” actor Samyuktha Menon asks him.

“I am a tad bad person sir, not just on the outside, but also inside,” Asif Ali says later in the trailer while talking to a police officer. Director Lal Jr also makes an appearance in the trailer.

Actor Mukesh, clad in prisoner clothes and holding a book titled Cooperation without Compromise says, “Nobody is going to touch that money without any one of us surrendering. If you surrender... it is American dollar… Gandhi’s picture is not there… I will forget that I am wearing khadi.” The trailer also promises that the movie will have good action sequences.

Produced by D14 Entertainments, the film also stars Farhaan Faasil and Ketaki Narayan. While Asif Ali’s character is named Stalin John, Farhaan Faasil will be playing the role of Majeed, Mukesh that of Padmanabhan Nair and Lal Jr will be seen as Solomon.

The scripting for this entertainer has been done by Shibin Francis. Cinematography is by Alex J Pulickal and music is by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair.

Asif Ali was last seen playing a lawyer cum politician in the film Kakshi: Ammininpilla. His upcoming films include Parannu Parannu, directed by Sugeeth, in which he will be seen opposite Amala Paul.

Director Arun Kumar Aravind and Asif Ali have earlier teamed up for Kaattu, the script for which was written by Ananda Padmanabhan, the son of late legendary filmmaker Padmarajan.
