The official teaser of actors Madhavan and Anushka Shetty’s upcoming thriller, Nishabdham, was released on Wednesday, to coincide with the latter’s birthday.
The visuals in the teaser set up an intriguing background for the film — a holiday has gone wrong. Something sinister lurks in the house where the couple, played by Madhavan and Anushka, have moved into. Soon, a hunt is on to solve the mystery.
The teaser, juxtaposed with multiple interesting shots, gives us enough glimpses to trust that the film is bound to be thrilling. Interestingly, the teaser has no dialogues. Anushka’s character is seen signing when she is communicating with others.
Apart from actor Anjali, American actor Michael Madsen also makes an appearance in the teaser.

Anuska Shetty will be seen playing the role of Sakshi, an artist with speech impairment. Madhavan will be seen as Anthony, a celebrity musician. The characters of the rest of the cast have not been revealed yet.
Nishabdham also stars Subbaraju and Shalini Pandey. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the film has been produced by People Media Factory, in association with Kona Film Corporation. The film’s music has been composed by Gopi Sundar. Cinematography has been handled by Shaneil Deo.
The team had been shooting the film in various locations in the USA as the story is set against the backdrop of Seattle (USA).
The film has been shot simultaneously in Telugu, English, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The English version is titled Silence.
The pre-teaser, which was released on the eve of Deepavali, showed a lake house, an ariel shot of a funeral and a violin performance being applauded.
According to reports, it will be a unique attempt by the filmmaker. Anushka has reportedly done a lot of research to fit into the character she is playing in the film, say sources.
