It begins with Amitabh Bachchan searching for his sunglasses at home. And pretty soon, you see superstars from film industries across the country engaged in a search for it. Titled We Are One Family, the film is supported by Kalyan Jewellers and has a slew of stars including Rajinikanth, Priyanka Chopra, Chiranjeevi, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Shiivarajkumar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Sonalee Kulkarni and Diljit Dosanjh apart from Amitabh.

The film is shot entirely in black and white and you may wonder why. But, the reason becomes evident towards the end. All the scenes were shot in the respective homes of the actors, without anyone stepping out. So to maintain consistency in the colours and setting, black and white was the way to go.

Towards the end, Amitabh reveals why he was looking for the sunglasses though he has no plans to step out for a while. The whole country is currently in the middle of a lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic and people have been advised not to venture out of their homes unless it's for buying essentials. The entertainment industries also stopped shoots and many stars have been making home videos to spread awareness about the virus and how to contain its spread.

The film has the actors speaking in their own languages, lending some light moments to the narrative. Amitabh says that the film, apart from being made for awareness, is also to reiterate that the entertainment industry is one family and that efforts are being taken with sponsors and TV channels to arrange for funds for daily wage workers in the industries.

The short film, which is under five minutes, was shot in a unique way. Actor Dulquer Salmaan, a top star in the Malayalam film industry who is also Mammootty's son, reportedly shot the scenes in his home with the required angles and sent it to the stars as a reference point. They then replicated the same scenes and shots in their own home, and the film was later put together.
