The theatrical trailer of the upcoming Sandalwood film Amar is out and is captivating. The stunning visuals in it will be a major highlight of this entertainer. As announced earlier, the trailer was released along with the Darshan starrer Yajamana.

Both the lead actors in the film, Abhishek and Tanya Hope appear to be motor sports enthusiasts and the crux of the story will revolve around it. It may be recalled that they underwent training in motorsports before the shooting began to fit into the characters they play.

The film has Darshan in a cameo and his role is said to bring about the turning point in the story. No further details of his role have been revealed yet.

Directed by Nagashekar, Amar is being bankrolled under the banner Sandesh Productions by Sandesh Nagaraj who is the  best friend of Ambarish. Late rebel star Ambarish's original name is ‘Amarnath’ – he has acted in the Kannada film Hongkongnalli Agent Amar in the past. The shooting of this film commenced last year and is progressing at a rapid pace. Amar’s technical crew comprises Arjun Janya for composing music, Satya Hegde to crank the camera and Sania Sardhariya to design the costumes. A major portion of the film has been shot in Switzerland, we hear. Reports are that the makers of Amar are planning it to be a summer release and are working towards this deadline.

Speaking about his role in the film, Abhishek had told in an interview much earlier, “I am passionate about motorsports in general. Bike racing is new and I am excited about this. I have been meeting experts and rallyists and understanding what it is to be on the track. I’m working on my body language and understanding. We plan on keeping it as real as possible and I’m planning on shooting for most of it, except maybe a few dangerous stunts, which might have doubles.”
