"Agalaathey" is the second song to release from Ajith’s upcoming Nerkonda Paarvai. The song is a duet between Ajith and Vidya Balan, and it premiered live on Thursday at 6.00 pm. Vidya seems to be playing Ajith’s wife in this film and the song’s lyric video has visuals of moments between the two.
This song with lyrics by Pa Vijay has been sung by Prithivee and Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Starring Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang in lead roles, the film is the Tamil remake of Hindi film Pink. It marks the Tamil debut of Vidya Balan.

Vidya Balan, who has won several awards in her career, had spoken warmly about working with Ajith in this film. In an interview to The Hindu, she has said, “I couldn’t believe that the guy, who drives people mad, was standing in front of me with utmost simplicity. To be honest, I felt as though I was acting with his lookalike. He was that humble. When I spoke to him about the ‘Thala’ image and how different he was in person, he was shy.”
Previously, the first song "Vaanil Irul" was released. This song that opens with the line "When darkness takes over the sky, lightning is our ally" speaks of resilience and the courage to overcome hardships. We believe "Vaanil Irul" will be in place of "Kaari Kaari" from the original Hindi film Pink. "Kari Kari" was sung by Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch.
Directed by H Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame, the film is scheduled to release on August 8. This project is the result of producer Boney Kapoor’s long-time wish of wanting to work with Ajith in Tamil. This will be the producer’s return to the industry after 25 years. The film will also star Rangaraj Pandey, Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Aswin Rao and Sujith Shankar, among others.
