‘Adchithooku’ is the first single from Ajith’s upcoming Viswasam. This peppy dance number has been rendered by D Imman, Aditya Gadhavi and Narayanan with lyrics penned by Viveka. In a first time collaboration, composer D Imman has worked with Ajith in this film.

The song’s video has a very festive vibe to it just like its posters. Ajith is seen in different dance poses and ‘Adchithooku’ could very well be his introduction number.

The first look poster featured Ajith in dual avatars – in salt-and-pepper and fully dyed black look. Both the looks feature Ajith twirling his mustache. While there were rumours that Ajith plays dual roles in the film, sources close to the team have clarified that he merely appears in two different looks.

The project, being bankrolled by Satyajothi Films, features Nayanthara as the leading lady. The project marks the fourth consecutive collaboration of Ajith and Siva. Ajith was last seen playing an Interpol agent in Vivegam, also directed by Siva.

In a recent interview to Tamil magazine Cinema Vikatan director Siva told, "Viswasam will be entirely a new format of Ajith sir's film. It will be a full and full family entertainer which happens in the backdrop of  village called Koduvilarpatti in Theni district and after interval it switches to city backdrop. It is not a dual avatar film, Ajith sir's character name is Thukku Durai  who is a local ruffian in Madurai and for the first time he will be seen speaking in Madurai slang. The star cast has a handful of comedians who will be traveling with the hero in different stages of the film. Nayanthara who is teaming up with the actor for the fourth time will be seen in a character called Niranjana and it will be a spoken about powerful role for her in the film. I am working with composer Imman for the first time and the album has 5 songs. Imman has composed all the five in different styles".

Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah and Kovai Sarala are also part of the supporting cast. Viswasam is slated for Pongal 2019 along with Rajini’s Petta. Viswasam is made on a much lesser budget than Vivegam, which was a whopping Rs 120 crore action spectacle.
