The News Minute | October 23, 2014 | 5:51pm ISTA man residing in Warangal took the slogan of “Go green this Diwali” a little too literally as he started giving away “Tuborg” bottles for free with an offer which went “Buy for 400, get a beer free”.  Pavan Ganesh, a resident of Warangal owned a clothes shop called “Shri Ganesh Textiles” which was incurring heavy losses for some time. Offers during festivals are not new to us, but this man took it to the next level and circulated pamphlets advertising his purpose. People thronged to the shop in huge numbers and made optimum use of this limited offer until the police got a whiff of it and arrested the man. They confiscated whatever liquor was left. Though Pavan’s brilliant scheme may have come to an end, the amount of profits he made is surely to have multiplied and like they say, “no publicity is bad publicity”.
