Vivo has brought into the Indian market another of its budget segment phones, the Vivo Y95. The Y95 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ display, with the screen resolution reading 1520x720pixels. The bezel sizes have been kept to the bare minimum by occupying close to 87% of the real estate on the screen for the display and leaving just a water drop notch for the front camera.

The processor is the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439SoC with support from 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Android Oreo version 8.1 with the Funtouch OS 4.5 UI skin riding over it is the operating system.

Vivo goes big on the optics and the new Vivo Y95 is no exception. The rear panel sports a dual 13MP+2MP camera setup, while the front camera has a 20MP shooter. There’s the AI-based Face Beauty feature to enrich the selfie-taking experience. The battery is also quite powerful at 4030mAh. The fingerprint sensor is in the rear panel.

Vivo claims there is a unique AI Game Mode and mentions Floating Call Alerts, Background Calls and the Game Keyboard as additional features. The full details and what these can do will emerge after the phone gets into the hands of the usual commentators and regular users.

The phone provides communications support to Wi-Fi 2.4G, Bluetooth v4.2, USB 2.0, GPS, OTG, GPS and FM. Starry Black and nebula Purple are the two colours you can pick the phone from. The 4GB/64GB variant of the Vivo Y95 has been priced at Rs 16,999 in the Indian market. The company may launch other variants later. Most ecommerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart and Paytm Mall are selling the phone from today and there are many attractive launch-time offers including easy finance options available for limited period.
