Vivo has unveiled its next flagship in India, the Vivo Nex on Thursday and the device goes on sale from July 21 with specifications matching the best in the business. The interesting part is this device is a reworked one of the Vivo Nex S that was launched by the company just last month.

First, the specifications of the new Vivo Nex: The display on this phone is 6.59 inches and practically the whole screen is available for the full HD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio as high as 19.3:9. The screen resolution reads 1080x2316pixels.

The processor is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845SoC. The Vivo Nex has a RAM of 8GB and the storage 128GB. This storage cannot be enhanced beyond this. There is no other variant of the phone being offered here. In fact, Vivo has another phone, the Vivo Nex A which it has launched in China but has not brought to India so far. As far as the OS is concerned, the Android Oreo version 8.1 with the in-house UI Funtouch OS version 4.0 will run the device.

As previously reported, the phone maker has got around the space on the screen being taken by the front camera by including a popup camera that has an 8MP sensor. The rear camera section is fitted with a dual-sensor setup that comprises a 12MP and a 5MP sensor. Both the cameras come with a host of features to make the imaging experience excellent for the phone’s users.

The full suite of connectivity options and a physical 3.5mm jack for audio-out are also on board.  

The new Vivo Nex can be purchased at Rs 44,990 in India. Amazon has already started taking bookings and the sale goes live, as indicated, from July 21. Apart from Amazon, the phone can be bought from Vivo’s own site online and its offline retail outlets. There are some launch-time offers which the early birds could capitalize on.
