Vivo has just released a new phone in its home country market, the Vivo Z1i. The new smartphone comes with some excellent specs and is priced within the budget segment levels.

Measuring 154.81mm x 75.03mm x 7.89 mm overall, the display itself is 6.26 inches and comes with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The full HD+ IPS display has a screen resolution of 1080x2280pixels. It has a 90% screen-to-body ratio.  The CPU on this new Vivo phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and the RAM 4GB. Internal storage is 128GB with the provision to expand to 256GB via a microSD card. The operating system is the latest Android Oreo version 8.1 with the Funtouch OS 4.0 UI riding on top of it.

Observers say that the phone appears to be a cheaper version of Vivo Z1. This phone comes with AI-backed smart features and also with its Jovi AI assistant.

The camera section sees a dual camera with 13MP+2MP sensors arrangement and the front sensor for selfies is a huge 16MP one. The front camera also has a Face Wake feature incorporated in it, which could double as the face recognition tool. The battery is 3260 mAh and there is a fingerprint sensor in the rear panel. The full suite of sensors and connectivity options are fitted on board and this includes the 4G LTE connectivity. Vivo has incorporated AI features also in abundance in this new device. There is a dedicated game mode as well as AR stickers pre-loaded on the phone..

With all these specs and features, Vivo has put the Vivo Z1i for sale in China at CNY 1,898 (approximately Rs 19,600). The sale begins on July 7 and will be available in Black Gold and Hyun Red colour options. However, there is no information yet on when it will come to India.
