The Vivo Y83 has a large 6.2-inch display with a FullView screen that has an aspect ratio of 19:9. Some years ago, it would have probably been called a phablet. The smartphone comes with a HD+ display with the screen resolution being 720x1520pixels. The iPhone X like notch cannot be missed.

The processor is the MediaTek Helio P20 SoC, which is an octa-core CPU. The RAM is 4GB and the version being launched in India has an internal storage of 32GB, though a 64GB variant was launched by Vivo in China. There is the microSD slot that can help the user expand the storage to 256GB.

The optics department has a 13MP sensor in the rear and an 8MP sensor adorns the front for selfies. The front camera also comes with the Face Access technology, Vivo’s tool for face recognition. The cameras also are supported through AI based features like Face beauty apart from different modes like portrait, live photo and for group selfies. The battery is of 3260mAh.

There is a physical fingerprint sensor also in the rear of the phone. Some additional features one can get to enjoy with the new Vivo Y83 are Face Access 2.0, Game Mode 2.0, Smart split 3.0, app clone, and eye protection mode.

As mentioned, the price at which the Vivo Y83 is being sold in India is Rs 14,999 and can be purchased both offline and online. Amazon, Flipkart and Vivo’s own site also sell the device. You could swing some nice offers as well.
