Vivek-Mervin to score music for Vijay Sethupathi’s next

Touted to be a family entertainer, this film will have Raashi Khanna playing the female lead.

Vijay Sethupathi’s next with director Vijay Chander is taking shape positively. There has been an announcement on who would be composing music for this flick and it is Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon. They duo had composed music for films like Vadacurry, Pugazh, Dora and Gulaebaghavali.

A tweet from the official twitter handle of Vijaya Productions, which is bankrolling the project, confirmed this. The tweet was: “Music will be scored by young rockstars @iamviveksiva @MervinJSolomon. Get ready for the musical treat of 2019. #Productionno6 #VVV @vijayfilmaker @VijaySethuOffl.”

Comedian Soori who had associated with Vijay Sethupathi in films like Sundarapandian and Rummy will be playing the hero’s sidekick in this film as well. Velraj will be cranking the camera for this venture which is scheduled to start rolling from March onwards.

Touted to be a family entertainer, this film will have Raashi Khanna playing Vijay Sethupathi’s lead pair. Sources in the know say that the story is set in the backdrop of north Chennai.

In an interview to The Indian Express, the film’s director Vijay Chander had told, “North Madras played a key role in my previous film, and so it does in my next film. Usually, North Chennai has a different look from other parts of the city — be it in terms of the place or the people. There’s so much to explore further.”

About the film, he reportedly told, “I have been working on this script even before the release of Sketch. Sethu anna and I often bounce off ideas. When I approached him with this one, he liked it. He will get a makeover in this film, with loads of action sequences. Anal Arasu has lot of interesting ideas about presenting the stunt sequences in a never-seen-before way.”
