The use of the background score from Viswasam in Hindi film Marjaavaan has upset music composer D Imman. When it was brought to his attention that the BGM from one of his compositions has been used in the Hindi movie Marjaavan, the music director put out an angry tweet: “Totally Not aware of the #Viswasam Bgm score used in the Hindi trailer #Marjaavan No prior notification from the production house nor the audio label.”

Soon after the tweet was out, the makers of Marjaavaan edited the trailer giving due credits to D Imman.

Marjaavaan is an action drama directed by Milap Zaveri. The film has Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles with Nassar, Shaad Randhawa, Ravi Kishan, Varinder Singh Ghuman and Bikramjeet Kanwarpal in supporting roles.

Music for the songs in the film have been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Meet Bros, Payal Dev, and Yo Yo Honey Singh while the BGM has been scored by Sanjoy Chowdhury. Nigam Bomzan is the cinematographer for this film with Maahir Zaveri doing the edits.

Marjaavaan is bankrolled jointly by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani under the banners T-Series and Emmay Entertainment. The film was initially slated to hit the silver screens in October but now stands postponed to November 8.

Interestingly, when the audio launch of the Ajith starrer Viswasam happened, music buffs made the allegation that the theme music in it has been copied from an action sequence in the Arjun starrer Marudhamalai.

There is also another word doing rounds that the same music was used in Vijay’s Villu. Incidentally, D Imman was the music composer was Marudhamalai which hit the silver screens in the year 2007. Two years later, Vijay’s Villu made it to the silver screens and the music for it was scored by Devi Sri Prasad.
