Manchu Vishnu’s Achari America Yatra, which was out at the theatres on April 27 has turned out to be dud at the box office. The film has been lying in the cans for a long time and eventually, its makers released it, apparently without the knowledge of the lead star Manchu Vishnu.

The film failed miserably at the box office and was lost without a trace as it was not promoted well. According to sources, the film’s hero is away in the US for some personal work and wasn’t aware of its release. The stale comedy and unimpressive dialogues are other factors that contributed to its colossal failure. Vishnu excels in the new role and gets full marks, while Heroine Pragya also scales well in the film. Both Vishnu and Brahmanandam enthrall the audience.

Directed by G Nageshwar Reddy, the film stars Manchu Vishnu and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles with Brahmanandam in a pivotal role. The others in the supporting roles are Prabhas Seenu, Praveen and Satya Krishna. The film is produced jointly by Kirit Chowdary and Kittu S Thaman had composed music for this romantic comedy entertainer.

Manchu Vishnu made his debut in Tollywood as a child artiste with the film Ragile Gundelu and his debut as a hero was with the 2003 release Vishnu. He has acted in several films in his career till date and that includes Astram, Game, Saleem, Denikaina Ready, Doosukeltha, Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam. The actor currently has a couple of movies in his kitty in different stages of production and that includes Voter and Kannappa.

Besides acting in films, he is also a television host and runs a production house 24 Frames Factory. His maiden production venture Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda, which released in 2014 was a hit. He also heads the post-production unit ThinkSmart which specializes in graphics among other things.
