When it comes to raising funds for the Nadigar Sangam building, actor Vishal has been quite enthusiastic. He had initially promised that the entire league of young actors would be coming together for a multi-starrer film, directed by Venkat Prabhu and the collections made through this film will be used for the construction of Nadigar Sangam new building.
But soon after winning the elections, there was no talk of the movie, instead pitching Star Cricket as an idea to collect funds.
Unfortunately, the Star Cricket tournament hardly went as planned and failed to live up to the expected collections dur to crowds not turning up. Speaking to reporters, Vishal expressed his grief and infuriation and said “The loss incurred through this cricket match doesn’t lie on the shoulders of actors like us, but Tamil Nadu audiences are responsible for this. We actors will soon appear in TV serials and torture the viewers to make up for the loss.”
An after-party organised by actor Suriya saw all stars in attendance. The DJ played several popular tamil hit numbers but when Ajith's Adharu Adharu was played, it was reported that Vishal immediately asked the DJ to play another song. “He came back to the floor only after the number was stopped,” sources added. This comes after Ajith had reportedly not extended his support by skipping the cricket tournament.
Vishal, however has denied it.
