Actor Vineeth Sreenivasan made his directorial debut with Malarvaadi Arts Club, which went on to become a phenomenal hit. The film starred Nivin Pauly in the lead role, which also marked his debut. According to the latest reports, Vineeth has approached Nivin to play a cameo in his upcoming directorial that has Pranav Mohanlal in the lead. Sources in the know say that Nivin may be playing the hero’s mentor in the film and it is a meaty role. On the heroine, we hear that Keerthy Suresh is in talks to play the female lead.

Pranav Mohanlal made his debut with Aadhi, which went on to become a huge hit but his second film Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu received a lukewarm response. Following this, he took time to select the script for his next. Further, sources in the know say that Pranav is keen on doing a complete commercial entertainer and Vineeth is known for handling such subjects. It may be noted that Pranav’s next film release will be Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham in which he plays a guest role. The film has his father Mohanlal as the main lead.

Nivin Pauly’s next release in the pipeline will be Thuramukham, directed by Rajeev Ravi. Scripted by Gopan Chidambaram, the film is on the famous protests against the ‘chappa’ system that was practiced in the Cochin harbour during the 1950s. Thuramukham has Nivin Pauly, Biju Menon and Nimisha Sajayan playing the lead roles with Indrajith and Poornima Indrajith roped in for a pivotal role in it.

Vineeth Sreenivasan’s last film to release was Manoharam in which he played the lead role. The film, which is directed by Anwar Saddiq, was bankrolled by Jos Chakkalakal under the banner Chakkalakal Films. Besides Vineeth Sreenivasan, it had Indrans, Basil Joseph, Deepak Parambol, Hareesh Perady, Jude Anthany Joseph, VK Prakash, Delhi Ganesh, Ahmed Siddique, Nisthar Sait, Manju Sunil, Kalaranjini, Sreelekshmi, Veena Nair and Nandini playing supporting roles. Further, the star cast also had a number of starlets in important roles. Jebin Jacob cranked the camera for Manoharam with Sajeev Thomas, a former associate of maestro AR Rahman, roped in to compose the tunes and Nidhin Raj Arol for editing.
