Vikram’s current project on hands is Kadaram Kondan, in which he plays the lead role. Besides playing the hero in this action thriller, he will also be rendering a song. Reports are that it is a motivational track and music composer Ghibran had wanted the star to do the playback singing to which he readily agreed.
Directed by Rajesh Selva, Kadaram Kondan is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The film stars Vikram and Kamal’s daughter Akshara Haasan as the lead pair. The shooting was reportedly wrapped up in January this year and it is gearing up for release in April. The post-production is happening full swing right now.
The technical crew besides Ghibran for music direction includes Srinivas R Gutha for cinematography and Praveen KL for editing.
Vikram also has the Gautham Menon directorial Dhruva Natchathiram lined up for release this year. It is a spy thriller that has him playing the lead role. The film has Simran, R Parthiepan, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma in the star cast.
Written and directed by Gautham Menon, it will have music composed by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography done by Jomon T John, Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran and Manoj Paramahamsa. Praveen Anthony is the editor of the film.
Dhruva Natchathiram is a high budget movie that is being bankrolled jointly by Gautham Menon, Venkat Somasundaram, Reshma Ghatala, P Madan and Senthil Veeraasamy under the banners Ondraga Entertainment, Escape Artists Motion Pictures and Kondaduvom Entertainment. Lyca Productions has bagged its distribution rights.
Vikram’s bilingual Mahavir Karna is on the floors as well. He plays the title role in the film and is preparing himself to get into the skin of the character he is to play. The project went on floors recently in Ramoji Filmcity Hyderabad.
Mahavir Karna is a high budget movie that will be bankrolled by United Film Kingdom on a budget of Rs 300 crores. This high budget movie will be directed by RS Vimal best known for Ennu Ninte Moideen with the technical crew including Shameer Mohammad for editing.
