The shooting of 60 Vayadhu Maaniram was wrapped up a few weeks ago and its post-production also came to an end recently. The team is now gearing up for a release which would be soon. Meanwhile, 60 Vayadhu Maaniram went through the censor process and has been certified with the clean U.

Confirming this, the film’s producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu had posted on Twitter: “Releasing very soon! #60VayaduMaaniram, A clean “U” censored movie with a runtime of 134 minutes.”

Directed by Radha Mohan, who has also penned the screenplay, the entire shoot of the film was wrapped up in 36 days in and around Chennai. The interesting part is that nobody had a clue about such a project being made until it was announced by the makers earlier this month.

Talking about the project, Radha Mohan told TNM: "Thanu sir brought this project and when I saw the original, I wanted to do it. I didn't worry about the fact that I'd be doing two remakes in succession. It wasn't planned that way and it's sheer coincidence that both these films are remakes."

The film’s dialogues have been written by Viji while the story is by Hemanth Rao based on the film Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. 60 Vayadhu Maaniram stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead role with Indhuja as the female lead. Versatile actors Prakash Raj and Samuthirakani play pivotal roles in the film.

Maestro Ilayaraja is the music composer for 60 Vayadhu Maaniram while Vivek Anand cranked the camera and TS Jai handled the editing. Produced by ace producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu under his banner V Creations, the film is slated to hit the silver screens soon. Its run time is just about 136 minutes. The official trailer of the film was released on August 14 and received positive reviews from the film buffs, which has upped the expectation levels.

The Kannada version of this film, which released in 2016, marked the debut of Hemanth Rao. It starred Anant Nag and Rakshit Shetty in the lead roles with Achyuth Kumar, Sruthi Hariharan, Vasishta N Simha and Ravikiran in supporting roles. Made on a budget of Rs 1.2 crores, Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu grossed around Rs 15 crores at the box office.
