The first look poster of actor Vijay Sethupathi’s next film Sindhubaadh was released by the makers to celebrate his birthday on January 16.

The poster shows a bruised Vijay Sethupathi looking down, drenched in rain, while a gang of armed young men are seen running towards him. From what we can decipher from the billboards in the background, this fight sequence has been set in some south-east Asian country.

The film is being directed by SU Raun Kumar who had previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi in films like Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Sethupathi.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in for the film’s music with DoP by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by Ruben. The film is being produced by SN Rajarajan and Shan Sutharsan.

Hours earlier on Wednesday, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy team had released the first-look motion poster of Vijay Sethupathi’s character from the film. Directed by Surender Reddy the film will see superstar Chiranjeevi portraying the titular role of freedom fighter from Rayalaseema, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.

Vijay will be seen playing the character Raaja Paandi. Going by the look, the actor is seen with long hair and the sacred ash all over him. According to sources, the actor will play a Tamil-speaking character in the film.

Basking in the glory of his recent release, Petta, in which he shared the screen space with Superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in his career, the actor has a quite an interesting year ahead.

He has Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe in which he will be playing Shilpa, a trans woman. Sethupathi will be seen playing a politician in Seenu Ramaswamy’s Maamanidhan.

The actor will be making his debut in the Malayalam film industry with Marconi Mathai in which he will be seen sharing screen space with veteran Malayalam actor Jayaram.
