Actor Vijay Sethupathi is in the news again! The star was recently in Hyderabad when he heard that the shooting of the magnum opus Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is in progress at the Ramoji Film City.

The star immediately rushed to the sets and was received by the production controller Sidhu Panakkal. When Vijay expressed his desire to meet Mohanlal, Sidhu wanted to arrange for a meeting between the two in the caravan. However, Vijay made it clear that he wanted to see Mohanlal in action so that he can learn acting.

Mathrubhumi has quoted Vijay Sethupathi as saying about Mohanlal, “I don’t want to see him in the caravan. I want to see his acting and learn from him. He is the University of acting.”

And Sidhu wrote on his Facebook page, “I became proud of Lalettan. I felt respect for Vijay as a superstar opened up before the director and co-actors. He came to the set in the evening. He watched Mohanlal’s acting directly and also in the monitor with director Priyadarshan. All Keralites can take pride that we have an actor who can be a role model for actors of other industries.”

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, made on a budget of Rs 100 crores, is being produced jointly by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T Kuruvilla and CJ Roy under their respective banners Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment.

The film is based on the true life of Kunjali Marakkar IV, who is the most popular of the Marakkars. It will have extensive sea warfare sequences which will be its highlight. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Tirru and editor MS Ayyappan Nair.

The star cast, besides Mohanlal in the lead role, includes Keerthy Suresh, Prabhu, Suneil Shetty, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, Mukesh and others. Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan will be seen as the younger version of the lead pair in the film.
