Vijay Sethupathi will be making his debut in the Telugu film industry with the Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy this year. And the star has already signed another deal for his second film in Tollywood. Reports say that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the main antagonist in the film that will mark the debut of Chiranjeevi’s nephew Vishnav Tej.
Vijay Sethupathi reportedly agreed to take up the role despite his tight schedule. Sources told Hindustan Times, “Vijay really didn’t have dates for this film. However, he made time after he heard the script and was really impressed with his character. He immediately gave his nod."
Director Buchi Babu Sana, who will be wielding the megaphone for this venture, had told in an interview to HT, “We want to transport the viewers to a new place and wanted to bring the best technicians on board to ensure a visual feast for the audience. The film will also mark the Tollywood debut of Manisha Raj, who will be essaying the female lead.”
Shyam Dutt, who had cranked the camera for Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, will be handling the camera for this venture with Ramakrishna and Mounica will be handling the production design. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in as the composer for this rural love drama.
It may be noted that Vijay Sethupathi’s last outing was the Rajinikanth starrer Petta. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film had Vijay Sethupathi playing an important role and it was the first time he had shared the screen space with Rajinikanth.
