Vijay Devarakonda says 'Taxiwala' would be a 'stress buster'

Vijay says that the film would fit into multiple genres.

Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming film Taxiwala is all set for release next month. With the summer vacations on, the film is sure to cash in on the season. Speaking at the film’s teaser launch, the young actor termed the film as “a high concept stress buster.”

Elaborating on this, Vijay Devarakonda said that the film cannot fit into one genre as it has elements of sci fiction, comedy and paranormal activities.

During the launch, he has been quoted by the Deccan Chronicle as saying, “We are a young team and our boss Allu Aravind gave us total freedom to do things in our own style. It’s a new kind of cinema and I can’t say it’s one genre since it has supernatural elements, science fiction and comedy too, so I’ll call it a high concept stress buster.”

On why Taxiwala is the part three of the series, he had said that Pelli Choopulu is part one while Arjun Reddy and Taxiwala are part 2 and 3 respectively. The star had said, “Pelli Choopulu is part one, Arjun Reddy is part two and Taxiwala is part three. The film has a new director (Rahul Sankrityan), a crazy script, all new technicians and a young team. He added, “I have checked Geetha Arts and U.V. Creations the two big production houses that were on my checklist.”

Taxiwala, written and directed by Rahil Sankrityan, has been produced by Allu Aravind under the banner Geetha Arts. The film has music by Jakes Bejoy. Set for release on May 18 this year, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda, Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair.

With Taxiwala being Vijay Devarakonda’s next after the massive success of Arjun Reddy, expectations are high. Further, his fans want to see him in action in a different avatar from what he was in Arjun Reddy.
