Basking in the success of “Pichaikaran” in both Tamil and Telugu, composer-turned-actor Vijay Antony is all set for a Diwali release with “Saithan”, a suspense thriller directed by newcomer Pradeep.
Even as “Saithan” heads to theatres, Vijay Antony is already working on “Yemen” with director Jeeva Shankar. Touted to be a political action thriller, the film is in the final stages of shooting.
According to sources in the film's crew, Vijay Antony will be playing double roles in the film for the first time in his career. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions on a large budget, “Yemen” is expected to be an out-and-out action entertainer, in which Vijay Antony will take on corrupt politicians.
While the film is in the last few days of shooting, however, its makers are still on the hunt for a second woman lead who will play Vijay Antony’s wife in a flashback in the film.
The film also stars Miya George, while actor Prashanth’s father Thiyagarajan plays the film’s baddie.
