If the industry sources are to be taken seriously, actress Kajal Aggarwal and Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay are likely to team up for the third time after Jilla and Thuppakki.
It has already been confirmed that Vijay 61 will reunite the core team of Theri, and it includes director Atlee and reportedly GV Prakash Kumar as well. Kajal is currently the toast of the town with two biggies in her kitty – Khaidi No 150 and Ajith’s Thala 57. Hence, she automatically became the first choice for the makers who plan to commence shoot from February next year.
Although Kajal is yet to officially sign on the dotted line, it has been told that she wants to wait until she completes her portion in Ajith’s yet-untitled project. Since the shoot of Ajith’s film will go on till January next year, she doesn’t want to sign hurriedly and complicate things. Meanwhile, Sri Thenandal Films, which will be bankrolling the project, will finalize the rest of the cast and crew.
Rumours are rife that double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman might be roped in, in place of his nephew GV Prakash Kumar. However, the makers remain tight-lipped about this.
