Venkatesh to share screen space with Dulquer in upcoming Malayalam flick

Tollywood stars have always lapped up roles in Malayalam films when offered. Among the young generation actors, it was Allu Sirish who made his debut in the Malayalam film industry with the Mohanlal starrer 1971: Beyond Borders.

There is also a buzz doing rounds that Nagarjuna is in talks to play a pivotal in Mohanlal’s upcoming film Randamoozham, which is touted to be the costliest film ever to be made in Indian cinema industry. And now we hear that another top hero from Tollywood is all set to sign up a Malayalam film.

Reports are doing rounds that Venkatesh has been signed up to play an important role in Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming film. Apparently, the star has been impressed with the role that he has been offered and has agreed to hop onboard. We hear that Venkatesh will be seen playing a Lieutenant Colonel in the film. The star has acted in the remakes of two hit Malayalam films – Bodyguard and Drishyam – but with the Dulquer Salmaan starrer, he will be making his debut in Mollywood. He is also one of the few actors to act in multi starrers and has shared the screen space with the young gen actors in Tollywood.

Dulquer Salmaan is not new to the Telugu film buffs as well. He made his debut with the Mani Ratnam directorial OK Bangaram and his latest Telugu film Mahanati,  biopic of the legendary actor Savitri, won him accolades for his acting. He had played Savitri’s husband and popular hero Gemini Ganesan in the biopic.

Dulquer Salmaan recently made his debut in Bollywood with Karwaan and is currently busy with another Bollywood flick The Zoya Factor in which he is sharing the screen space with Sonam Kapoor. He also has the Tamil film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal lined up for release this year.
