Tollywood stars Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya will be playing the main leads in the Telugu movie that is titled Venky Mama. Incidentally, they are uncle and nephew in real life and it would be interesting to see them share the screen space for the first time and that too as uncle and nephew.

To be directed by Bobby, the film’s shooting is expected to commence from next month onwards. The project will be bankrolled jointly by People Media Factory, Suresh Productions and Kona Film Corporation on a big budget. While Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya are playing the lead roles, it will have Rakul Preet Singh as the heroine. It may be noted here that Anu Sithara was the first choice to play the female lead but she had to back out due to date clashes.

Naga Chaitanya’s last release was Sailaja Reddy Alludu, a Maruthi directorial. The film had Anu Emmanuel playing the female lead with the star cast also had Ramya Krishnan, Vennela Kishore, Kalyani Natarajan, Sharanya, Prudhvi, Raghubabu and Rahul Ramakrishna in important roles. While Gopi Sunder had composed the tunes for this entertainer, the camera was wielded by Nizar Shafi.

The stars’ next release would be Savyasachi which will be out at the theatres on November 2. Naga Chaitanya is paired opposite Nidhi Agarwal in this action-packed entertainer. R Madhavan and Bhumika Chawla will be seen in important roles in it as well.

The film is bankrolled by Mohan Cherukuri, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchi and Naveen Yerneni under the banner Mythri Movie Makers and its technical crew includes MM Keeravani for music composition, J Yuvaraj for cinematography, Venkateswara Rao Kotagiri for editing, S Rama Krishna and Monika Niggotre for art direction, and Ram and Lakshmi Chella for stunt choreography.
