Victory Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya will be joining hands for a new project that will start rolling from next year onwards. The groundwork to get this project on the floors has begun already with the team working on the schedules, star cast etc. According to reports doing the rounds, it will be a village-based film with Venkatesh playing Naga Chaitanya’s maternal uncle. It may be noted that he is Naga Chaitanya’s maternal uncle in real life as well. Touted to be a complete family entertainer, the film will be loaded with fun, emotions, and drama and it will be bankrolled by D Suresh Babu and Kona Venkat.

To be titled yet, the film will be directed by Kalyan Krishna of Soggade Chinni Nayana fame. Incidentally, the film starred Nagarjuna in the lead role and he had bankrolled it under his home banner Annapurna Studios. Further, the director had directed Naga Chaitanya in Rarandoi Veduka Chudham and they both share a good rapport. Reports say that when the director narrated the script to Venkatesh, he immediately suggested that Naga Chaitanya would be apt for the role and the project materialized.

Venkatesh’s last release was Guru early this year and it went on to score big at the box office. Directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, Guru is the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Irudhi Suttru which had Madhavan in the lead role. He also has two movies in his kitty right now in different stages of production. While one is directed by Bhaskar, the other is a Teja directorial.

Naga Chaitanya has had two film releases - Rarandoi Veduka Chudham and Yuddham Sharanam – this year and is currently working on Savyasachi, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, which is touted to hit the silver screens in 2018.
