Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam General Secretary Vellapally Natesan on Wednesday hinted that SNDP might debut as a political entity in the near future, before 2016 assembly elections.

While speaking at a press conference held in  Alappuzha district of Kerala, the veteran caste leader clarified, “We have no political connection with any party as of now, but we will not go to elections as a single party.”

Amidst speculation that the SNDP will align with the BJP, Natesan said that he has neither friendship nor enmity with either the BJP or Congress and would align with anyone who approaches him.

In a startling revelation, Natesan told that he expects the present Kerala Finance Minister K.M. Mani to join him once a political party is formed, however there has been no such assurances from the latter.

The seasoned leader also laashed out at the Kerala media at large for showing the organization in bad light and rubbished rumors of comparisons and alliance with the Sangh Parivar.

After getting clean chit from the Thrissur vigilance court, Natesan denied accusations made by Leader of Opposition V. S. Achuthanandan in connection with financial irregularities. Achunandan had said that Vellapally Natesan had taken bribes for appointing teaching and non-teaching staff at educational institutions run by the Sree Narayana Guru Trust.

He further added, “None of the existing political parties will be happy if we form a party as they are wary of a third front in the state.”
