The teaser of Antariskham 9000 KMPH is the talk of the tinsel town right now. The film will be the first ever space thriller in Tollywood and this has raised the levels of expectations much higher. Directed by Sankalp Reddy, it has Varun Tej playing the lead role. The film has two heroines – Lavanya Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari – in the star cast.

The less than a minute teaser has been cut to capture the attention of the film buffs and it has rightly done so. Sankalp Reddy shot to limelight with his debut flick The Ghazi Attack which won the 65th National Film Awards under the Best Feature Film in Telugu category and this space thriller will be his second outing in Tollywood.

The director is currently busy shooting some important sequences for Antariksham 9000 KMPH. According to sources in the know, zero-gravity sets have been erected for shooting a major portion of the film. Sources add that a space shuttle, satellite and ISRO atmosphere have been created for the film. Top professionals from Hollywood have been roped in to choreograph the stunt sequences that will be shot in these zero-gravity sets.

Sources say that the director has done a complete 3D body scan for the lead pair Varun Tej and Aditi Rao Hydari to ensure that he can get the scenes, which may have been left outdone, even after the sets are dismantled and the Hollywood team flies out of the country after completing their assignment.

Earlier, the plan was to shoot this space thriller in some foreign locations as it required a zero-gravity set, but later the team decided to use Hollywood technicians and get the sets done in Hyderabad. The film which is slated to release on December 25 will compete with  YSR biopic Yatra and Sharwanand’s Padi Padi Leche Manasu. All the three films belong to different genres, giving film buffs a good choice to select.
