Actor Vaibhav, who awaits the release of upcoming comedy Sixer, has landed a cameo role in Tamannaah’s upcoming horror-comedy Petromax, a Tamil remake of Telugu film Anando Brahma. Vaibhav will be seen playing a cameo that will have good scope for performance, according to director Rohin Venkatesan. The first look poster of the film was unveiled recently and it was well-received. A major portion of the film was shot in Karaikudi and Chennai.  The original featured Taapsee Pannu in the titular role which is being done by Tamannaah in Petromax.

Directed by Yatra fame Mahi Raghav, Anand Brahma got appreciated for its unique concept - it was centered on four characters with weaknesses that work in their favour when they join hands to stay in a haunted house for four days to make some quick bucks. Made on a shoestring budget, the film was profitable and most importantly brought a fresh perspective to the done-to-death horror-comedy genre. The remake features actors Yogi Babu, Muniskanth, Bugs and Manzoor Ali Khan.

With a slew of projects in her kitty, Tamannaah is looking at a very busy year with multiple releases. Last seen playing a bank manager who turns blind in Seenu Ramaswamy’s Kanne Kalaimanne, her next big release is going to be most likely the Tamil remake of Queen, in which she plays the lead. She also plays a crucial role in Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Tamannaah recently wrapped up shooting for Sundar C’s Action, which also stars Vishal. Last month, it was announced that she has signed yet another project with Vishal. Interestingly, she will be seen playing the antagonist in her second film with Vishal.
