Uber has gone in for a major overhaul of its app, four years after it made changes in 2012. The new app is designed to make the entire experience of riding Uber more user friendly.
Some of the new features are:
You can now set your destination to a person instead of a place. This means that you can sync your contacts to the app and once the contact shares the location details, you are on way to your destination.
Depending on where you are going, you can decide how to get there from a range of options. You can choose UberX if you want a solo ride. UberBlack is available if you want more style. And if it’s a routine trip, you can choose the shared service UberPOOL.
Fares are displayed upfront so you can easily compare.
For UberX and UberPOOL, you can also know the time you are expected to arrive at your destination.
After your ride starts, you can share your trip status with friends or split the bill.
