Trisha is one of the very few actors to share the screen space with almost all the top heroes in the Tamil film industry. Lately, she has been bagging heroine-centric roles and Raangi is one such film.

It is progressing well with the first schedule being wrapped up recently. The filmmakers unveiled the first look poster of the film and Trisha looks every bit menacing, befitting the title.

The film is being directed by Engeyum Eppothum fame Saravanan and ace director AR Murugadoss has penned the story. Incidentally, Saravanan is a protégé of director AR Murugadoss.

The next schedule of Raangi is being planned in Uzbekistan and the team will be flying there shortly. C Sathya has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick with KA Shakthivel signed up to crank the camera and M Subarak to do the edits.

Trisha was last seen on the silver screen in the Rajinikanth starrer Petta. She also has a heroine-centric film, directed by debutante Sumanth Radhakrishnan. Touted to be an action-adventure for which she is teaming up with Simran in the film, which is billed to feature India’s first deep-sea stunt sequences.

It is speculated that she and Simran play on-screen siblings.  Both stars were last seen in Rajinikanth's Petta though they did not share screen space as Trisha was paired opposite Rajinikanth in the flashback.

Apart from these two films, Trisha currently has two other Tamil films 1818 and Paramapadham Vilayattu. 1818 Directed by Rithun Sagar,  is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. The film is inspired by the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Besides Trisha playing the lead role, 1818 also has Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad, Suman, Ramesh Thilak and Misha Ghoshal. S Thaman is composing the music for this flick with Om Prakash handling the camera.
