The heavy rains lashing the southern states have hit train operations for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday in Kerala, leading to the cancellation of several trains while many are partially cancelled and some are diverted.

As many as 20 trains have been cancelled under the Palakkad Division alone. Railway tracks have been damaged between several routes. The cancellation of trains in large numbers will again affect the movement of people from flood affected areas as roads have also been damaged.

Following trains are operated:

Train No.12696 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central express of August 11.

Train No.22640 Alappuzha – Chennai Central express of August 11.

A passenger special train will be run from Ernakulam to Visakhapatnam, leaving Ernakulam at 17.00 hrs. on August 11.

Train No.22607 Ernakulam – Banaswadi express of August 11. (updated)

Train No.22648 Thiruvananthapuram – Korba express of August 12.

Train No 16526 KSR Bengaluru – Kanyakumari Island Express of August 10 is diverted via Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai and Tirunelveli.

Train No 12515 Thiruvananthapuram – Silchar Express of August 11 diverted to run via Nagercoil Town, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Namakkal, Salem and Jolarpettai.

Train No 17229 Trivandrum – Hyderabad Sabari Express journey commencing on August 11 is diverted via Nagercoil Town – Tirunelveli – Madurai – Dindigul – Erode – Salem – Katpadi.

Train No 12626 New Delhi – Trivandrum Kerala Express journey commencing on August 11 is diverted via Salem – Namakkal – Karur - Dindigul – Madurai – Tirunelveli – Nagercoil Town.

Train No 16382 Kanyakumari – Mumbai CST Express leaving Kanyakumari on August 11 will run on the diverted route of Nagercoil – Tirunelveli – Madurai – Dindigul – Karur – Salem – Jolarpettai – Katpadi.
