The trailer of the upcoming Mammootty starrer Oru Kuttanadan Blog was finally released on Sunday. Two minutes long, the trailer has been packaged with the right ingredients to up the expectation levels of fans waiting for the film.

Oru Kuttanadan Blog, scheduled to release on August 23, was initially titled Kozhy Thankachan but was re-titled during the course of filmmaking.

From the trailer, it can be gathered that Mammootty plays a middle-aged man popular among the youth in his village. He seems to have a good time with the youth and then the trailer shifts to emotional and sentimental scenes, indicating it is well-packaged with all the elements of an entertainer. While Mammootty’s character is named Hari who lives in a village called Krishnapuram, Shamna Kasim, one of the heroines in the movie, will be seen as a powerful cop, a role that is said to compliment the hero’s.

Oru Kuttanadan Blog has three heroines in the star cast. They are Raai Laxmi, Anu Sithara and Shamna Kasim. Vineeth Sreenivasan will reportedly be making a cameo appearance in the film. The others in the star cast of his comedy entertainer include Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Nedumudi Venu, Adil Ibrahim and Jude Anthany Joseph. The shooting of this film commenced in March this year and will be Mammootty’s next film release of the year.

Popular actor Unni Mukundan will be debuting as assistant director for Oru Kuttanadan Blog. Interestingly, the film will mark the directorial debut of famed writer Sethu. Besides being credited for his work as an assistant director, Unni Mukundan has also rendered a song for the album.

Sethu of the well-known scriptwriter duo Sachi – Sethu will be making his debut as director with this film. In fact, Sethu himself has also scripted the film. Oru Kuttanadan Blog is bankrolled by PK Muralidharan and Shantha Muralidharan under the banner Anantha Visions.
