1. The Lokayukta police is likely to summon and question former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa in connection with the 12 FIRs filed against him in the illegal denotification of land scam between 2007-2012. His name figures in the list of accused in 15 other cases as well. 2. Former minister and mining baron Janardhan Reddy who has kept a low profile since he received bail, has been questioned by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) in connection the export of illegally mined ore from Belekeri port 3. The restructuring committee constituted to understand the possibility of splitting BBMP, has recommended that the civic body be divided into five corporations with an over-arching Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). The committee will submit its report to the government in the first week of July. 4. Farmers organisations and pro-Kannada organisation on Wednesday blocked roads in Mandya and Srirangapatna near Mysuru to protest against the release of Cauvery water in to Tamil Nadu, even before the water reached its full level in KRS reservior. 5. Six cities in Karnataka have been chosen to be part of the '100 Smart Cities' intiative while 26 cities will be selected for implementing infrastructure development under the 'Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation' (AMRUT).
