Just a few days ago, Mohanlal had released the first look poster for his upcoming film on social media and it went viral as expected.
The poster showed the star looking dashing in a leather jacket and carrying a shoulder bag. The actor had worked hard to lose weight for one of his roles in Odiyan and it appears that he is maintaining the same for this film. The film is touted to be a travel movie.
Posting his look in the movie, he had written on Twitter, “Hi Friends, as you all know I'm currently in Mumbai, at the shooting location of my new film directed by Ajoy Varma and Produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla under the banner of Moonshot Entertainment. I’m happy to share that I’m playing the central character of the film which is packed with a lot of action and adventure all throughout. I’m delighted today to share with you all the first look poster of this thrilling action movie (sic).”
While fans were delighted at getting a peek at the star’s look in the movie, they wanted more! Yes, the expectation to know its title also skyrocketed. And now, that has been disclosed as well. Mohanlal released the poster of the movie with the title and it is to be called Neerali.
Directed by well-known editor Ajoy Varma, the film stars Meera Jasmine and Parvati Nair as the leading ladies. Others in the star cast include Saikumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Dileesh Pothan.
Neerali, which went on the floors this month, is being bankrolled by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan under the banner Moonshot Entertainment. The film has been written by Sajju Thomas with Santhosh Thundiyil cranking the camera. Stephen Devassy has been roped in to compose the tunes for this action thriller.
While the shooting of this film is currently in progress in Mumbai, Mohanlal’s fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Odiyan, which is VA Shrikumar Menon directorial. This film’s shooting is reported to be in the final stages and we can expect its release to be sometime in summer this year.
