Small tidbits about Anjali Menon’s new film have been coming out in the past many months, but the title was yet to be announced. And now we know.

Koode, the film shall be called. And it shall release this July. The official page too has been launched on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The film, like most Anjali Menon films, features multiple stars: Nazriya Nazim, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy in the lead.

It is a heartwarming tale of relationships set in the Nilgiris, says the Facebook page. “The story is about Joshua – (must be Prithvi) – who discovers the childhood landscapes, experiences and people he thought he had lost,” the description goes on.

The biggest delight for fans came when the film announced the comeback of young actor Nazriya. She had famously disappeared from movies just as soon as soon as she appeared as a budding young heroine, fresh out of school. She had worked as a child actor before that, and as soon as she hit 17, turned a heroine, won a state award, and went off cinema with her marriage to Mollywood star Fahadh Faasil.

Nazriya then decided to come back through Anjali Menon’s film. She and Parvathy had been part of Anjali’s last film, the ever popular Bangalore Days. Anjali who churns out movies only once every few years has worked previously with Prithviraj in her first feature film that won her many accolades – Manjadikkuru.

There was an Ustad Hotel in between in which Anjali played the role of a silent scriptwriter. And another project with Pratap Pothen that didn’t take off after a few differences cropped up between them. So it’s then Koode for Anjali, who is also turning producer in association with M Renjith under the banner Rejaputhra Visual Media and Little Films India.

The film surprised independent music lovers by roping in Raghu Dixit to compose music with M Jayachandran. Raghu said it is one of the best scripts he has seen. Cinematography is by Little Swayamp. And makeup is by Mitta Anthony.

Fahadh Faasil wrote on Facebook:  "Never before in my life I have had this kind of an excitement to share the first look poster of a movie. More than the great film it’s going to be and the great cast and technicians it has, my excitement is to see someone I love to watch on screen after four long years. She gave up this four golden years of her life to give me a home. I love you Nazriya with all i have and everything I am. All the best Anjali, Raju, Paru and My Own".
