Quite a few weeks ago, there was an announcement that the Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar’s upcoming film would be directed by Yogaraj Bhatt. And now the title of this venture has been disclosed as Kuladalli Keelyavudo.
Incidentally, the title has been taken from the hit number 'Kuladalli Keelyavudo, Huchappa! Mathadalli Melyavudo' from Satya Harishchandra. According to reports, the prep work to get this film on the floors has begun already and the shooting would commence from the month of November this year.
Kuladalli Keelyavudo will be bankrolled by ace producer KP Srikanth under his banner. On working with Shiva Rajkumar, the director had told in an interview to the Times of India much earlier, “Shivanna has an exemplary body of work behind him and has been part of several iconic films. He has a larger-than-life image among Kannada film audiences, so coming up with suitable content to make a film with him is challenging. I had been working on something for a while and recently when I met him after the Tagaru 125-day celebrations he okayed the project.”
Shiva Rajkumar is expecting the release of his multi starrer The Villain in which he shares the screen space with Kiccha Sudeep. He also has Kavacha, Rustum, SRK and Drona in different stages of production.
The film was scheduled to be released on September 13 to coincide with the Ganesh Chathurthi festival but some delays in the production led to its postponement, say sources. Reports are that the film has been censored and is ready for release. We will have to wait for an official word on it. While, the rest of the films would be out at the theatres next year.
Director Yograj Bhatt shot to limelight with his hit movie Manguru Male, which released in 2006. He has directed movies such as Gaalipata, Inthi Ninna Preethiya, Manasaare, Drama, Vaastu Prakaara, etc. His last film release was Mugulu Nage, which hit the marquee last year.
