The News Minute | March 26, 2015 | 06:42 pm ISTAfter the Indian team was beaten by Australia by 95 runs in the second semifinal in Sydney on Thursday, Times Now started with the trend #ShamedInSydney on television. The Indian team has surprised almost everyone by getting this far in the competition and most fans seemed satisfied, even gracious, in a country where emotions run high where cricket is concerned. And while Congratulations Australia had started trending in India, Times Now decided to take the other route and suggested that the Indian team had let "a billion" down. After the odd user tweeted with the hashtag, #ShamedInSydney was quickly replaced by #ShameOnTimesNow with users expressing their seeming disgust at the hashtag.Dear @TimesNow we're proud of our team for whatever they did in WC. We stand by them. It's not #ShameInSydney u morons its #ShameOnTimesNow— one tip one hand (@OneTipOneHand_) March 26, 2015Instead of trending #ShameinSydney.
