The team of Vijay – AR Murugadoss’s next yet-untitled project is back in Chennai after canning some important sequences including a chase and action scene in Kolkata. The action sequences were shot under the supervision of popular stunt choreographers Ram-Lakshman. The next schedule is currently underway in Madha Medical College in Chennai for the last 48 hours or so.

When it was revealed that Vijay was at the college shooting for the film, scores of his fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their idol. They were in for a special visual treat as he was dressed in complete formal clothes. Videos shot by students from the campus have been doing the rounds on social media. In one of the pictures, which has gone viral, he is seen wearing a suit, and in the other he is seeing waving to the enthusiastic crowds.

Apparently, the makers are finding it extremely challenging to stop students from shooting videos and circulating them.

All eyes are on Thalapathy 62 as the combination of Vijay and Murugadoss has set the bar very high. Two of Vijay’s best films in recent years have come from Murugadoss and it has naturally built high anticipation around this project. It is believed that the film is being planned as a Diwali 2018 release and might lock horns with Ajith’s Viswasam at the box office.

AR Rahman has been officially signed on for the project, which will mark his reunion with Murugadoss after the Hindi version of Ghajini. Girish Gangadharan, the young lensman whose recent work includes Kali and Solo, is cranking the camera. National award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad, who has worked with Murugadoss in projects such as Thuppakki and Spyder, is also part of the film. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project on a lavish budget.

The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, who is teaming up with Vijay after Bairavaa. It’s yet unknown who plays the antagonist and we hear that Murugadoss wants to keep the identity of the actor a secret. In his collaboration with Vijay in Kaththi, Murugadoss introduced Neil Nitin Mukesh to Tamil audiences and the actor went on to leave a mark in a very well-written role.
