Rana Daggubati not only hails from a family of film stars and filmmakers but also has a strong penchant for good movies. The star recently tweeted, “Telugu cinema's storytelling in its best time! 'Jersey' what a simple, beautiful story told with excellent craftsmanship,” praising the efforts of all those involved in the making of the film.

"Nani you, my friend, are the amongst the country's best! Shraddha Srinath watched you with moist eyes. You were excellent. Satyaraj Garu awesome, always!" he tweeted. To this, Nani replied, “You are a true fan of cinema. I knew you will love it. Thank you.”

Being a sports drama about a late bloomer, Jersey is a highly emotional film that had good scope for Nani and Shraddha Srinath to perform. Nani plays a 36-year-old with a wife and child but his passion for cricket makes him want to make it to the Indian cricket team.

Jersey is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and helmed by director Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film has Anirudh composing the tunes, Navin Nooli in charge of the editing and Sanu Varghese cranking the camera.

On the other hand, Rana Daggubati has a slew of films in his kitty and the latest addition to it is the Milind Rau directorial wherein Rana will be seen playing a Vampire. Planned to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller, it will have Rana in a different and new avatar. The star is very selective about his projects and will take up only those that interest him and has strong content to befit his acting skills.  The film will be bankrolled by Gopinath Achanta under the banner Vishwa Shanti Pictures. Reports are that the scripting work has been completed and the team is planning to begin the shooting in August this year.
